Butter Cream Frosting Recipe

2/3 cup
1/4 cup
1/4 tsp
3/4 cup
1 cup
2 tsp
granulated sugar
half & half
butter, cold

Oven Temp ~
Bake Time ~
Pan Type ~ small sauce pan

Directions for the Butter Cream Frosting

In a small saucepan combine the sugar, flour and salt. Mix well. Stir in half and half. Whip with a wire whisk while cooking over medium heat, until mixtures thickens.
Remove from heat and pour mixture into a medium mixing bowl.
Let cool to room temperature.
Add the butter in small amounts beating well after each addition.
Add the vanilla and blend well.

Chill the butter cream frosting for 15 minutes before icing the cake.

Frosted cake must be refrigerated until ready to serve.
