all-purpose flour

Oven Temp ~ 350°
Bake Time ~ 30 - 35 minutes

Preheat Oven. Spray pans with nonstick pan spray.
In a small saucepan melt the first amount of white chocolate and water over medium heat until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. In a large mixing bowl beat the first amount of butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at time beating well after each addition. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, mix until well blended. Slowly mix in the melted chocolate mixture. Pour batter evenly into pans. Bake for the allotted time or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Cool completely before frosting.
Serves: 10 - 12
Note: Top with your favorite frosting, this cake looks great garnished with fresh strawberries. |
