Light brown sugar
Granulated sugar

Butter, softened

All-purpose flour
Baking soda

Oven Temp ~ 350°
Bake Time ~ 30 - 40 minutes
Pan Type ~ 9 x 13" baking pan

Preheat Oven. Spray pan with nonstick pan spray.
Place oats in a medium bowl. Pour the boiling water over the top, set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream the sugar, butter and vanilla together until fluffy.
Add the eggs and beat well. Stir in the oat mixture.
Add the flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa.
Mix on medium speed with electric mixer for 1 minute.
Stir one half of the chocolate chips into batter.
Spread batter into prepared pan.
Top with remaining chocolate chips.
Bake in preheated oven for the allotted time or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack frost or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serves: 12 - 15 |
